Attention Disney enthusiasts! Spaceship Earth, the iconic EPCOT attraction, has made a stunning early comeback after a much-needed refurbishment. But here's where it gets interesting: while the inside of the ride remained largely unchanged, the exterior got a sparkling makeover. A long-broken lighting effect was restored to one of the oval signs, and sources indicate that work will continue on the other sign post-refurbishment. The base of the attraction, including the back section hosting Project Tomorrow, received a fresh coat of paint and panel replacement. No noticeable changes were made to the Alucobond triangles that make up the geodesic sphere. Inside, the slow-moving dark ride takes visitors on a journey through human history, with refreshed sets and figures, including audio animatronics. Despite a previously announced reimagining being indefinitely delayed, Disney characters are not expected to make an appearance. However, the back of the building now hosts the new GEO-82 Lounge, an adult-only space themed to Spaceship Earth. Guests can touch real Alucobond panels, and the menu offers light fare and beverages. So, what do you think? Is the early reopening a welcome surprise, or were you hoping for more significant changes? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
